Interesting. Have never read/nor heard of this test Please post the results. I am just so aware of kidney problems/failure as a co-worker died a few months ago, and I know that about a year ago she found out that she had one non-working kidney and the other was only working at at 30% of the norm. No one knew the cause of this for sure but I know she had been taking protonix for at least 11 years. She had bladder cancer too but she did not know how long her kidneys had been malfunctioning. Then I heard the news about PPIs and am now 'spooked'. I will try to read more about the problems vs. benefits and decide what to do about me taking them. However, FIRST, you need to take care of the IPMN and see what is going on with that!!
