I truly believe that by planning on seeing him; you are doing what is best for both of you. Not to be there will only drive you crazy not knowing what is happening. At least when you are there, you can talk to the doctors/nurses etc. This is not going to be easy but one day I'm quite sure you will be relieved that you went. Take care and know there are many of us who have experienced similar situations and we are only trying to help you as best as we can.
