Pancreas Cancer

Elusive Varices? was posted 02/15/2016 08:29 pm by LC

Hi Everyone,

My mom has a metastatic tumor in her mesentery compressing her portal vein and a recurrent GI bleed. She has had multiple endoscopies, enteroscopies and colonscopies and no source of the bleed has been found. Her oncology team believes this must be from varices while the GI doctor who has performed the numerous tests insists her would have seen them. Has anyone else experienced anything like these seemingly invisible, elusive varices?

Good luck in your own journies.

Best, LC
