February 11th, 2016 my little brother lost his fight with PC. In the end of December, a day before his 36th birthday he had a Whipple revision because of abdominal pain and return of jaundice. Since, then everything went downhill fast. He was diagnosed the last week of April 2015. Successful Whipple mid-May, chemo and Staged at T2n1m0 poorly differentiated adenocarcinoma. Chemo+radiation at MDAnderson in Phoenix. Dxed stage 4 with 2 small mets to liver in the end of November. Whipple revision in the end of December revealed peritonial Mets. Worsening jaundice, fat and muscle loss, edema, and uncontolable pain set in. Someone on this board honestly described their experience with a young healthy person's last weeks/days -- it was truly horrible. My brother was on fentanol, oxicodone, hydromorphon all at once, and then on methadone and hydromorphon. Nothing relieved the pain, and despite all sorts of medications to relieve the opioid side effects on the stomach and bowels, nothing worked.

He passed away in agony, I know because I was there with him.

To all fighting this disease, be strong and live you live to the fullest, just like my little brother did!
