Iron of 43 is too low, not too high.

Are you sure you have the right test? There are many tests related to iron that the doctor may have checked. Maybe re-check the lab test results and find the exact name of the test and the exact result. And then talk to your doctor.

Many people with cancer have anemia (low red blood cells), and often it is due to low iron levels. It is also very hard to answer your question when we know nothing about your health/symptoms, because that would affect the answer and reason behind it. So if you aren't comfortable sharing the context, it is probably safer for you to talk with your doctor about it.
