I echo the other replies. I had a NET resected by a distal in March 2006. I learned that sometimes the very best decision you can make is to travel for medical expertise. I ended up having surgery at Stanford by Dr Jeff Norton who is both a NET expert & reknowned pancreatic surgeon. I found that combination to be most important. I was lucky. We are not the type to travel for medical. You are right, it was and has not been inexpensive but so well worth it. Go wherever it makes most sense for your personal situation, even if only for another opinion. Sounds like you are on a good track so far...good luck!
