Why were the markers checked so soon?

It is problematic when they are checked too often, because yes.... dying cells can also cause the markers to rise.

Talk to the doctor about the lab tests, so everyone is on the same page. There is much we don't know about your Dad's course, so it is hard to say more. But having a stable scan is great news. The most important question is how does he feel? That is more important than any number.
