I think this depends on the individual. I lost weight continually after surgery until I started Creon. Once on Creon, I gained weight. Have continued to gain weight, still taking Creon, but --- I am also growing older. (I'm still normal weight, would prefer not to gain any more weight. But, Creon helps with digestion, and allows me to have normal bathroom experiences. No frequent trips or needing to stay close to a bathroom.)

I have never know of Creon preventing someone from blood donation. In my case, I became jaundiced before diagnosis, so that alone prevents me from donating blood even though the jaundice was not due to Hepatitis.

Creon I think helps most people gain and maintain weight after Whipple surgery.
