Oh - this is different. Vertigo (ie. 'dizziness' - like the room is spinning) is often caused by an alteration in the inner ear. Look up the Eply Maneuver online, and try this and see if it helps the dizziness. If not, see your primary care doctor. There are some simple medicines you could try. Someone should also look in his ears to make sure he doesn't have an infection there.

Usually, it just goes away on its own. The meds can make you a little sleepy, so if it isn't bothing him too much I would hold off unless it is severe or gets worse.
