Just a personal opinion....
Some folks on this forum recommended Palliative/Pain Care to me. That suggestion proved to be an incredible gift. It may be available at Jefferson or it may be available closer to home. I would take time out from looking at trials and other solutions, and focus some energy and attention on Palliative/Pain Care for now.
It needs to be someone with knowledge of pancreatic cancer. It needs to be someone who is able to listen, and sort out both physical needs as well as emotional needs. Side effects can be treated. Emotional support can be found.
Ideally, it would be someone who can work with you Father's oncologist, radiologist, etc...communicating to them your Father's needs.
There is so much reason for hope in your Father's medical situation. If he can replace the doubt with hope, I believe that his cancer treatments will be far more effective. At minimum, he will be able to take more pleasure from the life that he has.
Wishing both of you all of life's joys.
