I was found to have a 1.8 cm tumor in pancreas - ductal adenocarcinoma with no metastasis to lymph nodes after whipple surgery. The tumor was actually found by accident. We were trying to rule out Chron's Disease! I understand I am luckier than most but still am struggling with the diagnosis and the affects of surgery. Although the surgery was a 'success' I still am recovering 15 months later. I had many complication afterwards. I seem to have neuromuscular damage to the abdomen (awaiting a neurology appt in 1 month). I have been complaining about this for 1 year and Finally the doctor agreed that I need a consult.
