Unfortunately, yes the testing could be 'normal' have still have PC. My CEA and CA 19-9 have always been very normal (lower than 6). My FNA showed atypical cells but that's it. It wasn't until the surgery that the pathology report showed adenocarcinoma. That's the problem with the testing. You hope it would give you a sense of relief that you are in the clear but it seems in both our cases, there will have to be other testing to show metastasis. Good luck to both of you. I know it's hard.
