My partner had one small met come a year after whipples which he had a later using radio frequency ablation along side folfirinox chemo. He went 7 months with no chemo and no cancer activity. Another tumour arose a year after that which resolved after 3 folfirinox infusions, he had another 3 after the ct scan showed it had disappeared and has now been tumour free for 4 months with a ca 19- 9 of 11. . So if your dad is up to it then the chemo can be very effective and I highly recommend looking into an ablation for the rumours if there are only 2 and they are so small

On a side note he had no pain with the first tumour but he had quite a lot of right shoulder pain with the 2nd one. That's how we knew it was there

Good luck with what you choose to do!
