Most doctors will recommend chemo follow up even with a pathology result as good as your Mothers. You can always get a second opinion regarding the chemo, especially if your Mom has other serious health complications. I had surgery 12 years ago for PC. No lymph node involvement, tumor early stage, very small. I did not do chemo follow up. However, through the years, reading on this and other PC support sites, I have seen only one other person who did not do chemo follow up. That person was in good health at six years out from surgery but I do not know how she is doing today. I hope your Mom has a quick recovery.
