My mother has been with diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. At this point, they think it is resectable, and we are beginning our search for a surgeon.

I'm curious if anyone on this board has any experience with Dr Dilip Parekh at USC. He seems to be working on a resection of the head of the pancreas with preservation of the duodenum and bile duct. He also lists a distal pancreatectomy that saves the spleen. There isn't anything about him on this site.
