Hi I kind of have a different type of question but figured who else to ask. My mom is having the whipple this Thursday for adenocarcinoma on the head of her pancreas. As far as we know it is localized and has not gone anywhere. I am aware that the surgery will give us the more accurate answer.

I am scheduled to be married in Maui in December and thought I would ask those who have experience with the whipple and chemotherapy if this is a bad idea. We live in LA and it is about 5 hours on the plane. I would not want to be married without my mother being there. We are looking at local So Cal venues as well with the news.

Any thoughts? Opinions? Ideas? Thank you!
