i think living so close to Johns Hopkins that you would do well to have a second opinion on the treatment protocol. You can get information on how to do so from this board. If your husband is too weak to travel, I do think they can at least do a review of his records. I would also ask why the change of treatment plans with your oncologist and maybe have another family member with you who can be sure to hear what you are told clearly to share with JHH doctors. My other thought would be to get a palliative care doctor or nurse practitioner on his team who can help monitor the side effects of the chemo more closely than an oncologist's office might be doing.
