I have been visiting this board for over 8 years. I don't think anyone will know us now. Don had a distal on March 15, 2007 at JHH with Dr Cameron. Had adjuvant chemo and radiaiton and was NED for 6 years.

We thought we had beaten all of the odds. But this vicious cancer was hiding and lurking all that time and showed itself again 2 years ago. Don had a massive plueral effusion and a small nodule at the incision site which were both positive for this PC.

He was on three different chemo combos in the past two years with some breaks. He fought every day for more time with me and our sons.

He never complained. He was courageous. He was so very loved.

He passed on April 21 while in ICU. I never wanted him to be in pain but sadly he was. He was strong for me asked me to let him go. We were all with him when he passed and I was stroking his cheek when he took his last breath.

Don survived pancreatic cancer f0r 8 years. He was very proud of that accomplishment. He was a wonderful man.
