Yes, definitely more and more with Stage 4 are living longer. And yes, for some their quality of life even if they are not on chemo. Just make sure someone is helping with all of your other symptoms, if you have them (fatigue, appetite, nausea, depression etc...).

A second opinion from another doc is always helpful when you feel unsure.
