My significant other (6 yrs) had surgery for pancratic cancer 2 weeks ago at Shands Hospital in Gainesville FL. Very impressed with docs and the high level of experience. Did the surgery laporoscopically! He was released after 6 days, and he is doing well, but having many issues with gas, pain and constipation. We do have the pathology reports back yet, so we're praying that everything else looks ok. But he will still be receiving chemo after a few weeks. Weight loss is freightening and Im worried about quality of life from now on. Think I am reading too many negative stories. Seems like most people never really recover from this? Feeling worried, scared and helpless.
