Have you guys talked at all about 2 chemo combinations? Honestly, I would push with Gemcitabine alone as long as you can and keep asking if you are a surgical or radiation candidate. If the markers continue to rise and the CT looks worse (or if she is feeling worse) ask about...

Gemcitabine + Abraxane (usually well tolerated)

Gemcitabine + Xeloda

FOLFIRI (5-FU + irinotecan)

Those are all very reasonable things to try.
