Shelley, thank you so much for sharing your experience. This has been a roller coaster, for sure, especially with the hope of finding that it is AIP and then all the waiting in between procedures that seemed to keep coming back 'negative.' Alas, today they found the tumor and it looks like cancer from the very abnormal cells, so now we are waiting for the pathology and an exact type.

We are going to Johns Hopkins this Monday to meet with their doctors, and his records have been sent to our state's comprehensive cancer centers, as well.

We are heartbroken to have the diagnosis that we dreaded--it feels like living the phone call I had three weeks ago all over again. But we have his records where they need to be and we are seeing experts in this type of cancer. So we are very hopeful! And it is so good to have stories like yours to know that we can beat the very bleak odds we have been given to this point.

Thank you so very much for sharing.
