Is she in the hospital? Fluid often continues to build up even after draining; in fact, the Paracentesis (drsining) made my mom feel worse/weaker. Make sure they check for blood clots and keep an eye on electrolyte levels (sodium, potassium, and calcium) via blood work. Make them take it every few hours. Those things accompanying ascites and Mets cans be very dangerous.

Thoughts to your mom and family.
