We feel like the world turned upside down. The doctor told us that they are sure it is a recurrence based on the location and the elevated markers. It is not operable. My Mother recently needed a pace maker for heart issues and they tell us her chemo opinions are limited. Then we received a call that they want a biopsy but because of the whipple they have to do it by putting a needle in her stomach. We called the doctor who did the surgery, he said it at is very invasive way to do a biopsy and he wouldn't recommend. Also said that it is very rare for pancreas cancer to return to this area after all these years so he is thinking it is a new cancer.

I feel they are taking too long with appointments . This is a major cancer hospital
