I developed severe gastritis and reflux in October and these symtoms improved with refux meds but followed by upper left abdominal pain radiating to side and back and sometimes to my right side. At times the pain feels like a sharp pain, but at other times, just a dull presence. I had a CT scan with contrast that was normal and an endoscopy that showed some inflammation. I have been taking reflux meds consistently since October. The pain comes and goes, but seems to be more persistent lately. The pain seems to be worse with fat intake. I had a cholecystectomy 6 years ago. The pain initially seemed under the breast bone but now is more upper epigastric. Should I insist on an MRI and blood test? Do regular CT scans show PC if it it is on the body or tail of the panceas or underneath it? I'm beginning to feel crazy. I lost an uncle to PC. Thanks for any suggestions or input.
