My husband had whipple 7/30 at Hopkins had some post op complications but now eating most everything and gaining weight. He is stage 2b We started gemzar and he had to go to every other week due to low white count and platelets. Last two treatments were reduced dosage (25%nless) we are going back to Hopkins for a second opinion -- current oncologist is with Georgetown Lombardi-went with them as treatment was same and their infusion center is close.bhe said this reduced dosage may not be doing anything and intimated stopping so that's why we are revisiting Hopkins In any case I saw an online study that was somewhat old but showed same results with 25n% dosage given every week --anyone heard or done this?
