CREON when I'm on Medicare was posted 10/24/2014 08:32 pm by Help

As a result of pancreatic surgery several years ago, I'm a diabetic on Metformin 1,000 mg 2X day and recently started Levimer 10 units at bedtime. Additionally, I take Creon. I'll be 65 next year, April. Currently, I'm in the Creon drug assistance program so currently Creon is very affordable. Once on Medicare, I won't be eligible for the Creon program any more. I've got medical insurance but a high out of pocket cost...someone Creon is $120 per month at SAM's Club...isn't within my budget. Any suggestions? Do without? When I wasn't on Creon the first year after surgery, I didn't experience any digestive problems, floating stools, etc. Anyone in the same boat?
