Not really knowing your mother situation I give this information to encourage you to move quickly. If the marker is going to over time then it is a likely possibility that it is the cancer. My dads CA19-9 was stable at 70 for 18 months then spiked to 140 but scan was still clear, doc thought maybe just some little infection had it elevated however, 8 weeks later it was 2000 and scan showed growth to 2 lung nodules and 3 micro spots on the abdominal wall. 2 weeks after that it was 19,000 the day he had his first chemo.

That's how fast things can change. I think the CA19-9 should have been checked every week and we should not have waited that 8 weeks between scans then maybe we could have got him back on chemo before the number had time to jump to 19,000... But the doctor said it was not necessary and I am normally persistent however this time I decided to just do it her way... And this is the result !!

Gods Blessings
