What is the standard for frequency of CT scans to monitor PC ? In Nov. I will be a six yr. survivor w/ NED since the Whipple surgery. Adeno, Stage 2B w/ clean margins. Completed chemo and radiation after surgery.CA 19 9 marker are in normal range. There can be a reoccurrence of PC even when the CA 19-9 markers are normal. I am concerned about a reoccurrence to the lungs which can be detected by CT scans. My doctor feels CT scan are not necessary since I am so far out but PC has returned even about 8 or 9 yrs. so I disagree. I would appreciate any input. I am very fortunate to have survived so long. My heart goes out to everyone fighting this terrible disease.
