Meant to add that our first surgeon denied mom the whipple. So sometimes it is btr to seek a second opinion. Also after radiation when they do a follow uo scan sometimes they cant tell the difference between tumor and scar tissue. Have them do an endoscopic ultrasound to see exactly how tumor reacted to treatment. We had hope that the whipple would cure mom. She felt great for about a yr then it came back. The first surgeon warned us of this because Reoccurrence rate is high but we had to try. some ppl do beat this monster.
