It's been awhile - like 11 years! - since I've been here. My Mom had Pancreatic Cancer and passed away in June 2001. Now my Father-in-law was diagnosed and has had laproscopic surgery to remove pancreas (totally? partially? since it's not my family, I get little information and my input is not appreciated) and spleen. Pathology showed it was indeed cancer but there was no lymph node involvement. He was back in the hospital for blood clots in leg, but they think they've got it under control and he's been home for about a week. What is the next step? Chemo? I don't know as my Mom never made it this far. How can Surgeon be sure he got it all doing laproscopic (rather than open) surgery. I'm concerned that my in-laws are thinking it's all flowers and sausages from here on out and I'm not convinced the worst is behind us.
