Does the hunt for appendicitis mean mass also found on right side? EUS not the only way to do the biospy (can sometimes get to it via percutaneous needled guided by CT). I'd prefer to go w/ needle myself. But right side location (specifics matter) might force EUS. Not all PCs are created equal so it argues even more to figure out what you got if anything. And move absolutely as fast as possible until you know time isn't so much of the essence.
