True, pain specialists do know more. However, the one I met with wanted to implant a pain pump into me. Stating, 'Let's strike while the iron is hot.' He also let me know how he specialized in pain management and hospice care and had treated many pc patients.

I opted NOT to go with the pain pump after further investigation into his 'credentials', he is on the speaker's bureau for the company that makes the pain pumps.

As always, WE have to be our own advocate and get more than one opinion. I'm letting my Onc handle my pain because I lack faith in the pain specialist.
