some cancers respond to some chemotherapies or combination thereof, one of the problems/difficulties is pancreatic adenocarcinoma has so many mutations that no one knows what will respond to what....your physician probably won't leave you on gemzar as it obviously was not the correct chemo for that cancer mutation, that does not mean the next chemo or combination of chemo won't be the right one to get rid of this beast. prayers to you.
