We have the same problem with platelets. Last time they were 45 one week after chemo BUT- this is what we are doing and it may help. We eat beef- medium rare, fresh fish, fresh spinach, chicken, brown rice all the same week. Same the next week just mixed up a bit. Pasta too! If I can get away with it , beef twice the same week. It seems to be working because we went from 45 to 95 on platelets. We get a Neupogen shot which is covered by Medicare for white cells and grans between chemo weeks. Friday we will know if the food helps as we are scheduled for a shot. I found something that said protein and water will help with low platelets and that's what we are doing. Good luck, we'll know Friday and I'll post if it helped as we had chemo last week and it should be lower than the 95.
