i've pc stage 4 for the past 10 months. six cycles of Folfirinox produced no evidence of disease and brought the ca 19-9 count down to 17 from 1352. After a month and a rising tumor count and lots of neuropathy the doc switched to two cycles of Folfiri, which resulted in further ca 19-9 rise and reappearance of tumor growth. now i'm on gem/abraxane, with 3 sessions completed, major hair loss and acne on my back and arms. am not sure where this is going. gem/abraxane seems pretty harsh, compared to the folfirinox, although the infusion period is much shorter. am supposed to get a ca 19-9 count on thursday. any advice from persons who have gone through a similar regimen? there's talk of nanoknife surgery if my liver stays clear and the tumor count decreases down to normal from a current 140.
