Chemo after surgery? was posted 11/29/2013 05:31 pm by Tonia

I had surgery for what turned out to be an IPMN with invasive carcinoma. I see the surgeon on Tuesday for a referral to an oncologist. I don't know what stage my diagnosis is as of yet, but I am going to guess that it will be stage I , based upon the fact that I was able to have surgery. Does anyone know if it is standard protocol to go through chemo after a resection or is it typical to just undergo testing to see if it comes back?
