There are other chemo treatments, the most notable being Folfirinox. If your mom was having good results with Gemzar/Abraxan then GTX might be an option. I have used Xeloda alone, but only as a maintenance treatment when I was 'No Eveidence of Disease' (NED). All of these treatments effect people in different ways, so be cautious! The same is true of supplements and alternative meds. Be careful, research completely!

I have been stage 4 inoperable since diagnosis in Nov. 2007. Chemo only. But I was 52 years old and in pretty good shape at the time of diagnosis. And I have a great Oncologist who finds solutions when I have a problem with chemo. There will always be a level of problems that can't be overcome (it's Chemo!) but problems can be mostly held to a minimum. The rest we deal with.

I will be praying for your mom, you and your family.

God Bless
