B.GA 2013 UPDATE
It has been eleven years since Whipple Surgery. Day to day life is much the
same as posted last year. One thing has changed since I adopted the Low
Glycemic Load diet approach. I apparently no longer have the 'Whipple Pain'.
Whether this is due to the change in diet, or something else, I cannot be
certain. I know I continued to have them, although less often as years
passed, up to the time I changed my diet. My diabetes is still under control
with the diet and exercise, no additional meds. I still take Creon with
food. Regular exercise (walking and gardening) remains part of my routine.
Still hoping for our researchers to develop a method of early detection for
PC. In my case, early detection gave me not only a chance for life, but also
the potential for good quality of life. My wish is for the same outcome for
others who find themselves facing the diagnosis of PC.
