My dad also started on Gem/Abraxane. He always had steroid and nausea meds IV prior to chemo. He had some fatigue on day 3-5 after chemo, first infusion he had rash and itch but they gave steroid oral to stop that.

My dad infusions were different to many on the board which may have made a difference in how he felt. He got infusions every other week, I think a lot get 3 weeks on 1 week off. Dads dose of Gemzar was 1200mg and Abraxane was 250mg. The Abraxane was the max dose, the Gemzar was much lower than 'standard' dose.

With his infusions being every other week he had only a few days of fatigue and some fever and then a good 7 days before next infusion. basically out of 14 days he had 3 down days. He did very well with no nausea, vomiting or diarrhea.

Hope this helps
