Just wondering if I could get any suggestions for my youngest brother 42yrs diagnosed in Feb with stage 4 pancreatic cancer. He went through 8 rounds of the FU-5 (The forflorinox sp? combo) and after a scan at md anderson realized it stopped working. He is now doing the gemcidabine sp? and was told today his CA 19-9 marker is up to 7000. He was told this is the only other chemo option and I just have a hard time understanding this?!!! Surely there is something more??? He has another ct scan scheduled at md anderson again (currently getting his treatments thru Loyola) on Oct 27th. His attitude is great, he walks almost daily and still pushes himself to mow grass and do chores around the house. Like I said he is only 42yrs! Please help! Thank you.
