My Mom passed from PC a little over 2 years ago. Last year they found a cyst on my father's pancreas. Tomorrow he will have a follow-up MRI of the pancreas with an MRCP.

Can anyone tell me a little bit about the MRCP? I didn't realize the doctor had ordered that as well. How long do you wind up lying on the scanner all together for this test? Also, they told us that he shouldn't eat anything for 4 hours before the scan... but I forgot to ask about whether he should avoid taking any specific medications or vitamins before the test. For some reason I remember something in the past about avoiding iron... but maybe that was for a colonoscopy?

I would appreciate a little bit of good luck for tomorrow... Thanks everyone!
