I was wondering if anyone could help me. I am a first time poster. My dad was diagnosed Nov.1 2012 w/ stage 4 pancreatic. He has been on folforinox all this time, but it has stopped working. His neoropothy has really gotten pretty bad. Just numbness in feet and hands, but it is hard to tie, button, etc. for him. He is still getting around and driving. His doctor is recommending Abraxane with gemcitamine as the first choice, but is worried about his neuropothy worsening. Does anyone have any experience switching to do this drug off of the folforinox? Otherwise, he is saying doing gemcitamine alone and maybe it wouldn't worsen it.

Any thoughts? Any great trials that are a one time take your medicine and leave kind of a thing? He is not willing to live away.

Thanks to anyone that will help. IT is such a horrible disease. Shelley
