My husbands CA 19-9 counts has come down from 30,000 since November to low as 520.... The last 2 cancer counts has started an incline.... from 520 to 570 before we went on vacation to 570 to 1429 after we got back and had one treatment. Last scan was good. Just prior to us going on vacation. Tumors in liver has decreased significantly and some had disappeared completely. The doctor recommends us to do 2 more treatments and repeat CA 19-9 and if Cancer counts increase again to have a scan done. If cancer is spreading at this point to change chemotherapy... What does everyone else think. He is watching for a trend with increase. Little discouraged.... We do not like this roller coaster ride. Thanks in advance.
