I use Percodan and a patch Duragesic (Fentanyl) applied every 72 hrs. It works for me. After I got used to the Fentanyl I have had few side effects. Percodan has quite a few side effects and Iwouldn't think anyone with digestive problems would do well with it. I'm pretty used to it now, but my docs will change it soon to avoid habituation. Everyones pain is different and a good anesthesia MD should be consulted before using any narc. I had a epidural for a while but its not much use if one is as active as myself. There are lots of options and I would definitely explore them. PC patients have enough to fight without spending all their energy on pain!
