I am glad that everyone here has made you feel a little better about this awful disease. Yea - you must keep the faith and hope. So much more now than even a few years ago. My husband was dx 8/2010. He is here today - as a matter of fact we are on vacation right now. He is taking a chemo break. I has been so nice.

My husband is stage IV w mets to the lungs and a mass on his back. He has been on various combos (including folfirinox) and will be back on GAX soon. I will say folfirinox was the harshest but did work for awhile. GAX is not so harsh and appears to be working.

Good luck to your dad once he starts treatments. If it is too rough they can reduce the dosage or cut out some of the combo (folfiri or Folfox). I will pray for your dad to have success. I am glad he is healing from his hip fracture. Hugs to you and your mom!!!
