What kind of cancer does your husband have? I was diagones with PC three years and 3 months ago. I have been on Gemzar since Sept. 1997. In the bginging I had a fever, felt very weak and didn't eat much and lost a lot of weight. After a month of Gemzar I started feeling better, eating more a looked a lot better. I still get Gemzar once a week for 3 weeks and then 1 week off. My white cell and platelate count drops, so on oncologits say's a week off -- which is great for me. Gemzar has worked for me and I believe in it. Before I started chemo my cancer cell count was 34,000 - ouch. Today I run any where from 23 to 84. I'm told remission is 0 to 35. Does your husband have PC? If there are any more questions please feel right to emaill me. Righ now I'm using my husbands email address -- hope to hear from you --- Kay
