You visit was scheduled before he received the news of his cancer's spread, so it's not like you are visiting him because he is worse than before. However, the best person to ask whether or not you should come is him. You visit may lift some of his depression and it gives him something to look forward to, so unless he has mentioned you not coming or given hints to that affect, I would not assume he wouldn't want you to come. And if you don't go (without him asking or hinting you not come) he may feel that you are afraid of him and his illness, or become angry and think you don't care. If you really don't know what to do, talk to your brother and his wife. - Heather
