My huaband Allen had his 2nd Gemzar treatment Monday and was released from the hopsital on Tues. saying his blood was thinned correctly. He was only in 5 days this time for the blood clots, but continues to get weaker everyday. It is a major effort to get him to the recliner right next to his bed. He is on oxygen, is still losing weight, and just looks weak and tired. He knows what day it is and keeps up with the time , but is there a sign I should be watching for that this treatment is working? I am looking for the light at the end of the tunnel and I just don't know what to expect. He is still drinking plenty of fluids, and will eat if he really likes it. However that tends to change from day to day. He will still take the vitamin supplement, but said he will not drink one more nasty drop of Boost! Any help appreciated.
