I was dx at UAB in Birmingham and was non-operable. My oncologist at MD Anderson did not offer much hope that chemo would have such an effect that surgery would become a possibility. After several rounds of chemo and radiation I was able to have the Whipple procedure on 9/19/2012 and I'm doing very well. There is always hope!
